Bondi Discloses Probe into Trump Rivals and Epstein Ties
This past Friday, the Attorney General appointed interim US attorney Jay Clayton to oversee an probe into opponents of Donald Trump and their relationships with the late financier. This move came shortly after Trump ordered her to launch the investigation.
During an announcement, Bondi highlighted Clayton as “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country”. The official stated, “As with all matters, the department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”
This development appears to contradict a July memo from federal authorities which declared that documents related to Epstein did not warrant further inquiries. As per the memo, authorities “found no proof justifying probes into uncharged individuals”
